The sweetest moments are never the ones you "expect".....

Toddlers have a mind of their own, they are just discovering how truly massive their world is, they’ve gotten their first taste of freedom by learning to walk and gaining some independence and the very LAST thing they want to do is sit and smile…. So what do we do?

WE PLAY!!!!

We run and laugh and giggle. We play games like tossing them in the air, asking them to race to Mom or Dad or playing airplane in a blanket. I let them be “my assistant” by pushing the shutter button or posing Mom and Dad. I make it all about them.

When I talk about what to expect from a photoshoot and I mention “going with the pace of your kiddos” this is exactly what I mean. And I promise you, years from now, you won’t want the perfect “everyone smile and look at me” photograph, you’ll want to remember them exactly as they were.

Wild.

Free.

Fierce.

And seeing the magic in a sunset for the very first time.
